Acknowledged as one of the world’s premier cosmetic doctors, Dr Jean-Louis Sebagh is a master of the delicate art of cosmetic medicine, with a focus on the face and neck.
Celebrities, models, socialites and VIPs comprise the high-profile clientele who visit Dr Sebagh for his breakthrough age-maintenance treatments. Raised in France, Dr Sebagh began his career over 30 years ago after graduating from the University of Paris in 1979, where he earned his Medical Doctorate and became a qualified Cosmetic Facial Surgeon. From 1985 to 1988, he honed his skills with a pre-eminent plastic surgeon in Los Angeles, refining his style in modern beauty, before returning to practice in Paris. In 1994, Dr Sebagh opened his practice in London and pioneered the use of Botox, hyaluronic acid fillers and vitamin injections. Combining these techniques, Dr Sebagh coined the phrase ‘Ageing-Maintenance’ to describe his revolutionary work to preserve existing youth and vibrancy and word soon spread about the doctor who could physically change skin by making it look younger without surgery. Renowned for his precise, subtle technique and notable yet natural looking results, Dr Sebagh not only makes his patients look younger, he makes them look better.
The Client wants a website that would serve as a shopping platform for their high end skin care range and also a presentation website for Dr Sebagh’s London and Paris Clinics.
Before we started working on the project this was all maintained through a Magento 1 multi-language website (english and chinese) website with one of the category trees expanding into the presentation of the clinics.
The client has asked us to create a website which would also include a homepage for the clinic so we had to separate the clinic side from the shop side and create two websites that would share the same url.
The website had to have easy access to switching stores and languages.
The new magento website has to be lightning fast to all visitors that would access the website from all over the world.
Because of their customer being from all over the world they use a multitude of shipping methods and carriers based on different rules.
They use a multitude of payment methods to cater to all customers such as wechat pay, alipay, paypal, sagepay, stripe etc.
Custom product and category pages, ie : videos in the product pages that would open up modals.
The order history needs to be on point for invoices, orders, shipping, returns etc.
We created a store switcher using a modal so that new visitors would select which website they want to view shop or clinic, based on the visitor’s decision a cookie would be stored for 24 hours and the initial choice would be served all the time. Of course, there are buttons and links in the website that give easy access to the visitor to switch between the shop and clinic at any given time. A visitor can jump on the clinic or shop side straight from google and the switch would be automatic based on a set of rules.
Speed – We are using the powers of Nginx, Varnish and Elastic Search to the fullest to offer our client a lightning fast website.
We have created custom product and category pages to include different tabs with offers, videos, product information.
Due to the challenge of creating a multi website migration we couldn’t use the data migration tool for a delta migration before going live so we created our own plugins to move and update sales and product data.
